These guides take one task each, start to finish, in the order you will meet them. Every step names the exact button to press and shows the screen you should be looking at, so you can follow along in your own copy of Forven.

Where the screenshots come from

Every screenshot is a real capture of Forven running on a fresh install in paper mode with no exchange keys — the same state you start in. Names, numbers and charts in them come from that install's research, not from a live account, and they are not results you should expect.

The path from a fresh install to paper

Do these in order the first time. Each one leaves you with what the next one needs.

1. First launch & setup

Start Forven, get through the setup wizard, and learn the screen you land on.

2. Get your first market data

Download BTC, ETH and SOL history with the Starter preset and watch the jobs finish.

3. Build a strategy

Turn an idea into entry and exit rules in the Strategy Creator — no code, no AI key.

4. Run and read a backtest

Backtest on data the strategy never saw, and learn which numbers to trust.

5. Run the gauntlet

Send it to The Forge, run the robustness suite, and read the verdict.

6. Paper-trade a survivor

Promote to paper, then watch it trade forward on live data with simulated fills.

Before you leave it running

7. Set limits & stop buttons

The autonomy switch, the risk limits and Emergency Halt — learn them before you need them.

Optional: bring in AI

Nothing above needs an AI key. These two add it — Forven's own agents, or the AI client you already use.

8. Put the agents to work

Connect a model provider, give every agent a model, and hand them an idea.

9. Connect Claude Code or Cursor

Plug your own AI client into Forven over MCP and watch the session live.
